This throwback is on the font page of FunnyOrDie all of a sudden. It’s from 2010 and was initially an Atom.com exclusive, a site that no longer exists, and aired on Comedy Central’s Atom TV. My involvement is actually less minimal than it seems; I wrote/produced the music to this (with finishing touches, mix/master, by Andy Barlow) in addition to my singing of the hook.

It was cool to work with all these peeps (Rob Cantrell, Tom McCaffrey, Joe DeRosa, Hannibal Buress, Ted Alexandro, Dan Curry) since at the time I was but a year or so into stand up. I remember running out of work to film this during my lunch breaks. There’s definitely some embarrassing irony in me singing the “I’m a Headliner” part, but let’s just consider it foreshadowing?

I’ll be in Chicago this Thursday through Monday doing a bunch of stand up shows, as well as playing with North Coast at the Chicago Improv Festival. Check out my calendar for the info if you’re in the area.

I’m pretty stoked to check out the city and eat that giant bean everyone talks about. TimeOut Chicago said some nice words about north coast here, and James Robilotta (Robo) from North Coast did an interview about our show in this blog.

This was pretty great. It’s long but I recommend at least:

18min - a bit about technology in food

35:10 - fun story about his issues with titanic, tho nothing mindblowing

46:20 - passionate and historical info on scientific discovery

49:45 - 2012 conspiracy theory and an asteroid that will be coming closer within earth’s orbit than any previous one during our time.

1:12:45 - great, if not novel argument on parenting

Just watch the whole thing though.

I will be doing stand up in your great state this weekend for the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival. Catch me on one of 3 nights, including the “All Star Talent Showcase.” It used to be called the Letterman Showcase as Eddie Brill is hosting it but then he got fired as Letterman booker a midst recent controversy, so I’m assuming they had to change the name.
